Accessibility

Access to the house by wheelchair or for those who have trouble climbing stairs is made very easy by a purpose built lift installed during the restoration. The only area not accessible is the Library, however staff can provide a short video showing the appearance of the room. Fully accessible toilets are available, as well as a hearing loop in the shop.

We are delighted that Alison Meek will be giving another series of talks to Friends.

In this series of art history talks, our visits will be to galleries where art was collected, commissioned or compiled by an individual, family or institution to their tastes and interests, often reflected in the design of the building itself.

This talk will showcase the Wallace Collection, a wonderful collection in the context of a fabulous London townhouse.

Ghost Stories for Christmas

In the macabre tradition of the BBC's classic 1970s programme, Ghost Stories for Christmas, we present a theatrical performance featuring new adaptations of classic spine-chillers. An evening of vengeful revenants, restless spirits and malevolent ghouls is guaranteed for those brave enough to join us!

Pre-show dining available in the scenic Cloister Coffee House. Diners should pre-book table in the tickets section (no charge) and arrive at the cafe for 5.30pm on the evening. The bistro menu is available to view here.

The Great Annual FoSH Quiz

Back by popular demand, the Friends of Strawberry Hill (FoSH) would like to welcome eggheads to their annual quiz.

Held this year in the spectacular surroundings of Strawberry Hill gallery, each £15 ticket will entitle visitors to a fantastic evening of quizzing and a delicious ploughman’s supper.

As usual tables will facilitate quiz teams of 8, so please organise a group of eight prior to booking and book all tickets in one transaction. Doors open at 7pm with the quiz beginning at 7:30pm.

For those seeking an extra treat, members of the public that would like to acquire FoSH membership prior to this event will be invited to join us for a complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival and an exclusive sneak peak of fabulous Strawberry Hill.
