Access to the house by wheelchair or for those who have trouble climbing stairs is made very easy by a purpose built lift installed during the restoration. The only area not accessible is the Library, however staff can provide a short video showing the appearance of the room. Fully accessible toilets are available, as well as a hearing loop in the shop.

Inns of Court - Visit to Middle Temple

Thu 9 Nov 2017 11:00 AM

In the middle of the 12th Century, the Military Order of the Knights Templar built a fine round church by the Thames, which became known as the Temple Church.

Two Centuries later, after the abolition of the Order in 1312, lawyers came to occupy the Temple site and buildings, forming themselves into two societies - the Inner Temple and Middle Temple.

Join the Friends of Strawberry Hill as they visit both Temples on two separate occasions, beginning with the Inner Temple. Have a look at our 'What's On' page for September to book on to the Inner Temple visit.

Each £15 will include refreshments on arrival.

Adults only
