As a registered charity, the Trust relies on the generosity provided by our visitors, volunteers, and donors to continue our work in researching, preserving and opening Horace Walpole’s villa to the public. Whether your help is by providing your time or through other types of support, your involvement can make the difference.
Friends
One way to aid Strawberry Hill is by becoming a member of the Friends of Strawberry Hill, an independent organisation founded in 2000 to raise funds and involve supporters in the life of the house. Membership provides free entry to Strawberry Hill, alongside a wide variety of social entertainment.
Volunteers
Volunteering at Strawberry Hill can be fun and rewarding. There is a range of different opportunities available, and plenty more information here if you are interested in finding out about joining our friendly and professional team.
Guides
The Strawberry Hill Guides convey the story of Walpole and his fascinating house to visitors. If you are a great communicator, love history and enjoy dealing with people, find out more about joining the team.
Donate
Despite the generous national and international support from many donors for the restoration and development of Strawberry Hill, continuing the preservation of the house will be increasingly expensive. Visitor admission fees and purchases will only cover part of that cost.
