Strawberry Hill House was the inspiration for the first ever Gothic novel, The Castle of Otranto, written by Horace Walpole.
In the spirit of Walpole’s original Gothic novel, the Gothic Book Club meets several times a year to explore some of the seminal texts of Gothic literature as well as new titles.
Meetings are free, but booking is essential as numbers are limited.
