Following Public Health England and Government advice on COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Strawberry Hill House is now closed until further notice.
You can still explore the House and our recent exhibition by downloading the ‘Strawberry Hill’ app for FREE from our Homepage.
Strawberry Hill House was the inspiration for the first ever Gothic novel, The Castle of Otranto, written by Horace Walpole.
In the spirit of Walpole’s original Gothic novel, monthly meetings explore some of the seminal texts of Gothic literature. Meetings are free, but booking is essential as numbers are limited.
