Our Members play a vital role in supporting Strawberry Hill House & Garden now and for future generations. Created in the 18th Century by Horace Walpole, collector, writer, dilettante, gossip, wit and friend, Strawberry Hill was a place so unusual in its time that it led architectural design, fashion, style and taste.

This extraordinary building is now internationally famous as Britain’s finest example of Georgian Gothic revival architecture and home to an increasingly important collection of paintings and objects.

Strawberry Hill House is a registered, independent charity relying on self-generated income, so we need your support. You can help us to care for this magnificent building by becoming a Member and also enjoy a range of exclusive benefits including free entry to the House, a lively programme of events, our Membership newsletter and an invitation to our Annual Members’ Event.

Where will your money go?

Your Membership will support the ongoing care and maintenance of Horace Walpole’s Grade I listed ‘little gothic castle’ and garden. It will also support our education programmes and help strengthen our collection and conservation needs.
