Strawberry Hill House is delighted to have been awarded a grant from The Foyle Foundation to help us conserve part of the north elevation of this significant Grade I listed building. This is allowing us to restore some of the parapet walls, windows, chimneys, crestings and fragile rendering that make Strawberry Hill House’s architecture so iconic.
Strawberry Hill House’s Gothic design features intricate wooden elements and painted render, requiring maintenance and painting to preserve their beauty. The weather and exposure have taken their toll, leaving these iconic structures in poor condition. Our ongoing repair and redecoration efforts not only restore the north elevation to its former glory but also ensure the protection of these historic features for future generations.
Strawberry Hill House is a registered, independent charity relying on self-generated income, so we need your support. You can help us to care for this magnificent building by making a donation, no matter how small, it would make a big difference to Strawberry Hill.
Thank you.
